Right in the middle of the upsurge of slick escapist action-crime spectaculars inaugurated by Die Hard, Jonathan Demme's hip little producing outfit gave semi-cult figure George Armitage the go-ahead to put a choice Charles Willeford detective adventure on film. I can't believe that it's been 25 years since I watched a cohort back at the trailer boutique Film Impressions put together the great trailer for this Orion Pictures gem.
